The only thing I don't like is that I didn't have the money to get two of them! I love this sword. I wish I could now get a wakisashi (whatever) to go with it. I've bought a lot of swords from various sources and have always found myself left wanting. Finally that's not the case. I'm only giving this thing five stars because that's all there is. It should actually have seven. If you're thinking of a good sword, real sword, but don't have the funds of Bill Gates this is the one. BUY IT!

This is the most beautifully designed katana blade I've ever seen. It's very light and easy to move and sharp as glass. Handle is comfortable. Worth the money.

Seems to be well built. Sharp! Nice looking. Arrived on time. Definitely a sword. Probably buy another one or something different from this vendor.

Super light weight ,pretty sharp blade. Beautiful sword with a reasonable price. Glad I went with the red blade, though it seems more brown then red.All in all it is actually better then expected. It is sharp but I wish it would have been extra sharp.

This is a real Katana made with real Katana materials, features and techniques. The quality is good enough for use as a practical, usable Katana for any and all purposes. I highly recommend buying this Katana for this reason. If you want something to worship and just look at, then buy one for a few thousand more and just stare at it. Otherwise, buy this one and you'll have no worries...

I purchased this Katana to protect myself from zombies. You can imagine my disappointment when shipping was so slow that zombies had killed my whole family before it finally got to me. However, when it finally got here I was very impressed with the attention to detail. It is very sharp and light weight. The colors are beautiful. I have already used it to kill 7 zombies. One of which was the UPS man who had me sign for it. I didn't get a good look at him before I struck, but he appears to have turned back into a human after my fatal blow. I am currently hiding in a window well and spying on the zombies to learn their ways. When the time is right, I will strike. 5/5 would buy again!

This shirasaya sword is a beauty, is very strong. can cut thru bamboo and I'm in love with this sword. I recommend this katana sword who collect o battle to buy it you will love it.

I know this is not a true Japanese Katana but in the hand this sword still exudes an aura that requires respect. Well made,sturdy, and beautiful as it stands.

Looks great on my shelf, it is very sturdy and was decently sharp out of the box. I would recommend it to others, and would buy again, simply to have another, or as a gift.

This blade is awesome it's nice and balance. Sharp enough to cut paper and plastic but I will make it a lot sharper. This is a good strong sword.. money well spent if your thinking of buying it... buy it..

I was apprehensive before purchasing a product from Cold Steel for the first time but they did not disappoint. This sword is solid, heavy, and EXTREMELY sharp. The blade is more than a quarter inch thick for virtually the entire length of the blade. The blade is monotempered steel, and is not Damascus (folded) steel as is traditional with this type of sword, but nonetheless this is a quality weapon for the consumer that is not able to purchase a more authentic katana.

This is a pretty nice sword however for the money there are better swords. When i received mine i saw on the blade that it appeared to have 2 hamons... yeah one was much more prominent than the other and its hardly noticeable and blade also looks scratchy. the tsuka was very nice and all the fittings were nice. All in all this is a good buy, you will be satisfied

I have this for a couple days when the rubbery band above the hand guard just cracked and fell off. But, its not that big of a deal because the hand guard is still secure. I am still very happy with the purchase.

This katana is great! It's heavy, but feels good in your hand.Really nice looking. I'm glad I chose this one.
